Born and raised in New Jersey he is the fourth born of eight children and has experiences small beginnings, great struggle and sacrifice. He clearly remembers the night God spoke to his heart and told him he would be leaving his home. As difficult as it was to separate from his family, Garrett accepted the challenge God set before him. Upon his move to California in 1987, he began to serve the Lord faithfully and wholeheartedly in the ministry which he had been planted, Showers of blessings church in Oakland. Under the training and direction of Pastor Curtis D Safford S., he served as a dedicated brother, committed deacon, licensed minister and assistant to Pastor Safford. In January 2000 he was ordained into the pastoral office and anointed to carry out the vision God have given to him as the leader of Showers of Blessings Ministries. Pastor Garrett is a glorious man of God. He teaches the Word of God with revelation, knowledge and power. His message is uplifting and life changing. A quiet strength and tender heart is what makes this man and his ministry so unique. Known for his "goodness" he is a man among men.
