Our hope is to bring all who come through the door together as one in service to the Lord by connecting people to one another, growing together in Christ, impacting our communities, our nation and the world.

We are Showers of Blessings Ministries, a Word of Faith ministry. We believe that God predestined us before the foundation of the world and that we are "special" to Him. We believe that God is "our" Father and that Christ is the Son of God. By accepting Jesus Christ into our hearts as Lord and Savior, we are born into the family of God. As a family we know that God never fails. Therefore we hold one another up in love, always encouraging and motivating one another to good works. We don't put down one another, but we lift one another up. As a family we encourage each other to prosper according to the Word of God. Not competing with one another but by completing the Plan of God together. There is nothing to difficult for us, for we can do all things through Christ which strengthens us. We are jointly fit together and walk in unity according to the Word of God.

Our founders - a legacy of love, a life of faith
Showers of Blessings Holy Assembly was founded and birth in 1977 by Pastor Curtis D Safford Sr. and lovely wife Lady Lavida in Oakland, California. A ministry built on the word of God and guided by the Holy Spirit, with love and kindness they have drawn many into the kingdom of God. This ever increasing ministry has provided spiritual guidance for over 30 years. Pastor Safford pioneered a feeding and clothing program for the underserved, summer lunch and Christmas program for the needy children, provided weekly aid assistance to women and children as well as provided transportation for the sick and elderly in the bay area and tri valley communities. Their selfless deeds have contributed greatly to the needs of others and the ministry continues to do even greater works in the name of the lord today!
Their lives and faith in Jesus Christ is a constant reminder of God's faithfulness in the lives of those who serve and trust in him.
Bishop Curtis D. Safford, Sr. is a man of vision,wisdom, and godly character.
He walks boldly and confidently as he teaches the word of God.

are many instructors but fathers are few.
We are blessed to have an overseer who is a great mentor
and a father of faith in which his life in Christ exemplifies.
Lady Lavida Safford is a beautiful woman of God. This most gracious lady is full of love and hospitality. Known for
being a well of godly wisdom, she teaches, strengthens and encourages others from the word of God. She is a true example of a virtuous woman.
Pastor Garrett Riller is a dynamic and anointed man of God. His messages are uplifting and life changing. He encourages others to good works. A quiet strength and tender heart is what makes this man and his ministry so unique. Pastor Riller is highly sought after. Known for his "goodness" he is a man among men.
First Lady Angela Riller, affectionately known as "Angel" touches and forever changes the lives of others. In her hands are the gifts of healing and her heart is filled with compassion. Professionally, Lady Riller is known as an Angel of Mercy. Together they are truly a reflection of God's Goodness and His Mercy.
They share four handsome sons,
Ryan, Jarrett, Justin and Garrett Jr. who is not pictured.
